Basically punk rock with a trombone

I never knew that was what this genre was called. It's a bit hit or miss going through the top artists but I think i like it?

The only Reel Big Fish song I know is Sell Out. Catchy, but I suppose that's the point.

Ska is not punk with a trombone, it's Reggae at (70's) punk tempo.

And it's all about The Specials:
The Specials - Ghost Town
The Specials - A Message To You Rudy
The Specials - Stupid Marriage

There is considerable overlap, which makes sense. Both Punk and Reggae are populist musical rudiment movements focused on social deconstructionalism.

There are other forms of Punk with a trombone, such as Polkacide

My favourite punk has fiddle and accordion in it, the Dreadnoughts put on a great show.
