Terminator: Dark Fate trailer

It assumes that only the first two movies were canon, and picks up at the end of T2. Though I do wonder where the hell Arnie came from, as his terminator had a meltdown at the end of T2.

I won't watch the trailer, all trailers are spoilers, but maybe...

-they have time machines, so they go back right in time to save him

-or, it's not the same T-800. Even if they ignore T3, they can use that same premise.

Um, aren't ALL of the Terminators just robots and therefore not at all unique? Wasn't that the premise of T2: that the future humans had somehow captured one of those Terminators and reprogrammed it so it would travel back in time to save Sarah and John Connor?

This. An Arnold-Inator has never survived a movie.

The Time-inator can't be bargained with. It can't be reasoned with. It doesn't feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And it absolutely will not stop, ever, until you are dead.

You could make a time travel movie where you use a time machine to send a robot from the future to kill James Cameron's grandfather so he's never born and never makes terminator.

I already planned to see it, and not because it's gonna be rated R.

also, "this one's gonna be great, like the first two, seriously you guys".

Again, I'm a fan of Terminator and James Cameron, and I was going to watch it anyway, but ok.
