Would rather have open ended future Star Trek unhampered by continuity demands.

Yeah, me too. I guess what they're doing is easier to sell.

BUT, more star trek? yeah, I'll take it.

CBS revealed a Teaser Trailer yesterday…

Given the wording of Crews, it looks to be an anthology series? I'm still hyped!

Huh. Can CBS do anything that's not a crime procedural?

Well they're probably screwing themselves over with this being exclusively on their streaming service in the US.

Every episode would have a Romulan thrown in as the distractor from the real culprit, and the real culprit would always be the guy played by the famous character actor whose name you just can't put your finger on because you recognize the voice, but the prosthetic forehead is obscuring too much of his face.

And the opening theme song would be The Who's "I Can See For Miles"

showrunner: series will be more graphic, more progressive

Quote:
“Because we’re CBS All Access, we’re not subject to network broadcast standards and practices,” says Fuller, who famously pushed the boundaries of broadcast TV content on his last series, NBC’s Hannibal. “It will likely affect us more in terms of what we can do graphically. But Star Trek’s not necessarily a universe where I want to hear a lot of profanity, either.”

Even separate from the Trek universe, I think The Voyage Home is one of the best lite sci-fi movies ever. Tons of warmth and humor, very little violence, and virtually no guns at all.

The difference between Nimoy as a director and Shatner as a director, I think.

doesn't matter

it's where you're located, not where the account is based
Really? So if, for example, you use a US account in Canada or in the UK, it shows the local Netflix content, not the US content?

Since I'm doing all my Netflix through SmartDNS, I still pull the US content.

That's correct, that's why we used to use vpns or spoof our locations for American Netflix in Canada
