BTW:
those barmen in the background are the original voice actors Rob Paulsen (Pinky) and Maurice LaMarche (the Brain)
.

I'm uncomfortable with how sexy that 'narf' sounded.

That was awesome.

'The Starbugs - Mr Tambourine Man from "Kids Sing Bob Dylan"'.

The Starbugs is a children's singing group from New Zealand.

That video was originally posted in 2011. Perhaps over the intervening 8 years their lead singer here has chosen to persue other endeavors, but MAN, she has pure star presence!

BTW: "Kids Sing Bob Dylan" is available via Apple Music.

For Malkin: 'Legendary music producer Tony Visconti breaks down Bowie's iconic "Space Oddity"'.
In this video, basically an ad for the upcoming Sony 360 Reality Audio, brilliant record producer and criminally underappreciated bassist, Tony Visconti, listens to the original 1969 mono demo, the '69 studio mix, and his 2019 remastering of David Bowie's breakout track, "Space Oddity." At the end, he listens to the remixed Sony 360 Reality Audio version and talks about how it especially serves the idea behind the song (traveling through space) and that David would've loved this new audio technology.

[link omitted]

PLUS at the link there is a stereo version (so not the 360 RA version) of Visconti's 2019 remastering of "Space Oddity" which includes video snippets of Bowie in concert mixed with other videos.

Yup. That was remarkably good for a cover of a country song.

David Bowie - Space Oddity (2019 Mix) [Official Video]

The video features never before released footage of David Bowie performing Space Oddity at his 50th birthday concert at Madison Square Garden in 1997. It is directed by Tim Pope, and includes footage shot and directed by Eduaord Lock, the founder and choreographer of the Montreal dance troupe La La La Human Steps, for the on screen back drop of Bowie’s 1990 Sound & Vision tour.

The 1990 footage was projected on to the large screens throughout the Sound & Vision tour, featuring David effectively performing Space Oddity with himself, a performance replicated at his 50th Birthday Concert. The audio that accompanies the video is the new 2019 mix of Space Oddity by longtime Bowie producer Tony Visconti.

There's also a 360 surround mix, but if I understood correctly, it needs an app, here the producer talks about it. He also talks about Bowie and the production of Space Oddity:

Surprised this wasn't shared on here. This young woman had Rhiannas Diamonds translated to her language. It's an awesome version, but sadly, it took her suicide for me to find out about her.

February 10 was the 48th anniversary of when Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars first landed on stage in Tolworth, UK.

To celebrate, Gareth Branwyn of BoingBoing.net posted this video of Bowie performing in Santa Monica in October 1972. The audio was from that performance but the video was a collection of various live performances from the Ziggy Stardust era. This overall video was created in 2016.

Now that is a smooth track. Too bad the audio quality of that rip is potato, or that would go in the regular rotation.

To celebrate the anniversary of George Harrison's birth on February 24th, Gareth Branwyn of BoingBoing.net posted this video of Harrison and Leon Russell singing "Beware of Darkness" recorded live at Madison Square Garden while Harrison was on his tour for his "All Things Must Pass" album.

Isolated vocal track for "Girls Just Want to Have Fun".

As one commenter put it: "this is why other singers call this song: 'Girls Just Want to Have Lungs'".

Grimes - Delete Forever

I clicked the link because it said "Akira reference", and because I'm a Tesla/SpaceX fanboy.

I didn't expect to like the music, but I did. I didn't really pay attention to the words, but I did notice she was difficult to understand... except when she says fiddlesticks/stick fiddling, that was clear.

SILENZIUM - Enjoy the Silence (Depeche Mode strings cover)

The only thing I didn't like was the overly dramatic "acting". IMHO, only Lindsey Stirling does that right. Oh, and also, there weren't any dragons. But the music arrangement was cool, and the setting beautiful.

It's a cute animation, but do not watch around kids, because they smoke a joint.

it's a Bob Marley video!
