Quote:
"With a long-anticipated release like Duke Nukem Forever, we encourage customers who preordered more than a year ago to verify their reservation with their local store prior to launch," GameStop said. "Provided the customer has a receipt, we will honor even those preorders taken long ago. At this time, we expect that all preorder customers will receive Duke's Big Package at time of purchase, regardless of when the reservation was made."

You did hold onto your receipt, right?

I still will be surprised if the game makes the launch date.
Alexander Supertramp this was uncalled for.

It's already gone GM, it's happening.
That doesn't mean anything; I have every faith in them to find a way to miss the launch date again, if only by a day or week.

It's pretty cool that they honoring those pre-orders - cynically, though, they probably figure that most people don't have those receipts, so they get the good PR without having to pay much for it.

most of the images i've seen of alleged legit receipts are sooooo faded you'd have serious trouble knowing if it was real anymore. that carbon paper junk fades pretty fast.
