I'm loving it.
But I hate having to use a walkthrough just because recent games tell you what to do and where to go. Yeah, I'm gonna blame it on that...

The original Hyrule Warriors got me through full time grad school, a toddler and a nursing infant, and working full time. I wish the stressful events in my life right now were so positive, but either way, nearly (but not quite) mindless button mashing is exactly what I need right now. The hours just drift on by... I really love the Zelda hack and slashes.

when you start the game, you hear a voice say "It's gonna be yuge!"
I didn't think much of it, I thought it was just the developers trying to be funny
and then I ran into this:

For those familiar with Marathon, it would be the equivalent of a juggernaut, and he shoots rockets and fusion bolts.
But I took it down by emptying all my SPNKR rockets into it. Felt good

it's an old game but *spoiler alert*
Spoiler
not that anything like that is actually happening, but still...

is that the one that caused so much media outrage because it had players carrying out an airport massacre?ukimalefu wrote: ↑Wed Jan 20, 2021 5:31 am also, playing modern warfare 2 these days is kinda... eerie

But the game does warn you before starting that part and offers the option of skipping it.
i remember seeing clips of it ... i don't believe video games make people violent, but even i was kind of "yikes"ukimalefu wrote: ↑Sat Jan 23, 2021 5:35 amyesTOS wrote: ↑Fri Jan 22, 2021 2:25 pmis that the one that caused so much media outrage because it had players carrying out an airport massacre?ukimalefu wrote: ↑Wed Jan 20, 2021 5:31 am also, playing modern warfare 2 these days is kinda... eerie

I just only started, but it seems more of an interactive story than a "game", I mean, I haven't found any pizzless or confrontations, or challenges of any kind, but I still want to know what happens next. Nice and pretty.
i'm new to this vr stuff but holy crap is it amazing

Working on finishing Ori on switch in hard mode. Not sure if I want to play the sequel on Switch or PC.
Also just started playing Need for Speed Heat. I like a lot of the NFS games, and my new PC runs this one so well.
And a lot of MechWarrior Online with friends back home.

Finished Firewatch
It's short, but I highly recommend it.
NOT for children!
there's no violence or nudity, but Firewatch it's DEFINITELY not for children
can't explain why without spoiling a key part of the story

So I didn't take any screenshots on the first level because I wasn't happy with it. You get to play as Darth Vader and you have to
Spoiler
kill wookies[/spoilers]. I didn't want to do that.
On the second level is when you assume get to play the main character, Vader's secret apprentice, and Vader basically tells you, go here, leave no witnesses, so you kill everyone because the emperor can't know about you.
I guess i'm gonna have to play a bad guy. But I'm expecting the apprentice to turn on Vader at the end, because.... it's Star Wars.
hellblade
holy human waste, so intense
i've only started but i had to take a break ... the way they portray psychosis kind of rattles me
plus the sound design!!

how they made it
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LQQ2Jm2 ... p&index=24
they talked with experts and patients
MAYBE there could be some minor spoilers, but I don't think so.
Never played the game but did watch gameplay videos of the whole game on youtube

Star Wars The Force Unleashed... not great, in terms of gameplay and level design. And it's hard to control your character. I'm playing on the easiest difficulty and I have died a few times, even with an overpowered character, I mean
Spoiler
he may be Vader's apprentice, but he's far too powerful IMHO.
But hey, Star Wars game.
I wish I could play the old Jedi Knight series, those were my favorites. But those were PowerPC games.

maybe...
and I'd have to find the windows versions, and set them up / learn to use them...
same with a classic mac emulator...
maybe I don't want to play those games that much?
If I ever try something, it would be a classic mac emulator. There's also some ambrosia games I'd like to play sometimes, and those are mac only. And I think I still have some copies of old star wars games.
