yeah, I've got a bit of a problem with model cars.
I've got a few Gunpla, they're way more beginner friendly than cars. They snap together and have 6 or more colors so they look great without paint or even the decals. Whereas snap together cars look like crap without decent paint.

I discovered this weekly meeting across the highway from my place. Looks like it's in the early stages of the life of car gathering where it's friends and friends of friends. Then someone makes a public post and brings in people who like to rev their engines and burnout ...

What did that paint job cost you, and what region are you in?
I'm in Austin, it was $3400 total to do the exterior and door jambs. When I drove the car there I took off the bumpers, doors, and lights in the parking lot and that saved a bit.

Taskmaster
New series started a couple weeks ago.
Anybody else watch it?
I've tried the spinoffs, but they mimic the format too much that they seem like a cheap copy.

I had a similar "full circle" moment like that.
20+ years ago I first saw an RX-7 while pushing carts for the local grocery chain. Then a few years ago I see a kid collecting carts for another store of the same chain staring at mine.

For my car, every time I would replace my headlights, my knuckles would look like I’d lost a boxing match with a cheese grater. Replacing the bulbs with ones that were likely to last longer than the car was a huge ...

Mac OS X turns 25
when OS X came out I had a iBook SE that had some fundamental hardware issue that triggered kernel panics when it was left idle, so I was pretty skeptical of the claimed stability improvements.
I never got to the bottom of it, an indie Apple repair shop said something was up with the logic board.

How salted are the roads in Hoth?
I've been told that cars last a lot longer these days before the floors rust out, except for maybe Mazda.

It's been through many modifications, some more well thought out than others, but a little while ago I've finally decided what "finished" looks like and executing that. New engine may go in this year but a color change ...

Best movies you've seen recently?
I just watched this movie. Excellent. Not your typical Jackie Chan movie at all. If you enjoy movies like Liam Neeson's Taken, you may enjoy this.
I was intrigued with this one, wondering what Jackie Chan and Pierce Brosnan were going to do together.
but Jackie wasn't really instrumental in ...

Sorry, Link. Sounds like you were close to your grandfather and have many memories to reflect on.

Why the hell am I holding on to this old ass Macbook?
It's a mid-2012 Macbook Pro, I just bought a new battery for it and replaced the optical drive with another SSD.
Granted, I don't do much heavy computing with it, just internetting and watching videos. The only time it really shows its age is when converting videos from my gopro.
