I'll be relieved to finally pull the trigger on a replacement for my late 2013 iMac, but I sure hope this stupid RAM shortage doesn't mean the price for a properly future-proofed iMac will be astronomically higher than what I would have paid for a loaded M4 iMac.

I just paid an insane price for a MacBook Pro.
An insane price.
I had an M1 Max MacBook Pro, but with the skyrocketing cost of RAM and SSDs, my M5 Max MacBook Pro cost an arm and a leg and a half.
Just another reason to burn down the data centers.
Been waiting a few months for this; upgrading from a 2020 Intel iMac so this will be quite the upgrade.
