Issues with Elon not included; I feel like they didn't even do the concept of what they wanted well. I also find Tesla interiors to be an abomination - who the hell thinks putting the turn signals on the steering wheel is a good idea? Should be illegal.

I got a "bug fix" iOS update yesterday, maybe just an unrelated coincidence. My iPhone seems to be working as expected, but now I am afraid to fully turn it off again.


Why do you turn it off? I've never once had a use case, outside of phone replacement (where the old one goes into retirement).

It's a cheap Maaco job, but the shade is perfect.

Got a loaner from the dealer while my car is in getting new tires. Thing is a boat, but pretty nice. Hilariously low power and awful gas mileage though (17.5 over it's short 500 miles of life).

The weirdest thing happened to me on Sunday. A Ford Ranger trophy truck tried to tailgate my VW alltrack home on Sunday night, but couldn't keep up with our bone-stock 1.8T off the line.

The weird thing is that it was Sunday night at 7:15PM, I was going 50 in the right lane on a road with a 50MPH ...

LLMs running locally based on your own data could be quite useful; and can't really be considered plagiarism either. I know we have our own internal one at work that is trained exclusively on our own data which is mildly useful.

I drive a 2022 CR-V Hybrid. It is very practical.

Wish I could get one of the new Preludes, but not a sensible choice living on Hoth.

Nope, but I have tried lots of time ha ha. The blue pieces are:

2 coats filler primer
1 coat gloss black
2 coats silver
3 coats blue
2 coats clear coat

I give each coat at least 2 hours to dry… so you can see it takes some time.

No, 8GB is not nearly enough. 16GB is the absolute floor for anything that isn't an embedded machine, and even that is starting to cause problems. That said, it does look like a decent machine overall.

Time Machine to a Synology for local backups, Backblaze for cloud backups. Select files/projects are backed up a third time (coding goes to GitHub, photos are backed up to iCloud, etc). Two is one and one is none™.
